UTICA – An afternoon of river folklore and songs will be coming to the Starved Rock State Park’s Visitor Center this Sunday. “Steamboat Coming” is a medley of songs and stories by Mark Twain and other riverboat pilots who made the river their home. Storyteller Brian “Fox” Ellis shares the stories of Twain, Lincoln and life on the Illinois River in the mid-1800s. The event begins at 1 PM and free to the public, but donations to the Starved Rock Foundation are welcome.
