OTTAWA – LaSalle County is experiencing a substantial transmission of COVID-19. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the LaSalle County Health Department, in accordance with the Illinois Department of Public Health, officials are recommending that all residents including those vaccinated should wear a mask in public indoor settings. Those that are not vaccinated are recommended to do so. According to the CDC, the Delta variant is much more contagious and spreads twice as easily.
