Livingston County reaches 100 COVID-19 cases

PONTIAC – Six more residents of Livingston County have tested positive for COVID-19.  The Livingston County Health Department said Tuesday two women in their 50’s and a man in his 60’s, as well as a woman under the age of 20, woman in her 20’s, and woman in her 30’s each of whom were asymptomatic at the time of testing. All current active cases are recovering in isolation.

As of August 4, 2020, the LCHD has received 4,601 COVID-19 test results. Of that, 100 COVID-19 tests have been confirmed positive, 4,501 tests confirmed negative, 81 of the previously reported confirmed cases have been removed from isolation, seventeen cases remain active, and two cases have resulted in death due to complications related to COVID-19. Of those individuals who have tested positive, 24 were asymptomatic at the time of testing.
