SPRINGFIELD- The Illinois High School Association had originally said student athletes could take part in training and practice that involved contact with other students during phase 4 of the restore Illinois plan, however, Thursday the IHSA announced that was not the case. In a statement, they say for now to reduce the risk of the spread of the coronavirus, student athletes will have to wear masks in additional situations and no physical contact is allowed. They also are saying inter-school scrimmages are also not allowed.
