SHERIDAN- The Illinois Department of Corrections announced an additional staff member at the Sheridan Correctional Facility has become infected with the novel Coronavirus. Since the pandemic began eight have now tested positive for COVID-19. This comes after weeks of being on lockdown with extensive testing and sanitation procedures in place. Five of those staff members are considered recovered from the disease. Among inmates, five are still recovering of the 17 reported infections.
