SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health Sunday announced 2,508 new cases of COVID-19 in Illinois, including 67 additional deaths. Of the deaths reported, 60 of those are in the Chicagoland area. Currently, the IDPH is reporting a total of 110,304 cases, including 4,856 deaths, in 100 counties since the pandemic began. The statewide 7-day rolling positivity rate from May 15th to May 21st is 12%.
