Wind chill advisory, temps falling below zero

UNDATED – Tonight north-central Illinois will face the coldest temperature of the season, as a wind chill advisory takes effect through Friday morning. According to National Weather Service Meteorologist Jake Petr, the lowest wind chill value is forecast for negative 15 degrees by morning. The McNabb Fire Station announced availability tonight and overnight as a warming center along with the LaSalle and Bureau County Department of Human Services. Petr says this is the first time we’ll experience below zero temps since March 2019.
