MENDOTA- In a filing in Chicago January 31st, the Mendota Lutheran Home filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. The son of a resident was told on Monday in a call from the staff that they would be closing and that they would be trying to find a new care facility for their loved one. A social media post Tuesday confirmed the closing. The Mendota Lutheran Home has been a part of the community since 1952.
