GEORGETOWN, S.C. (AP) — It was a showdown for the ages — between a police dog and a cow. It went down in Georgetown County, South Carolina — and it started when a sheriff’s deputy with a K9 responded to a burglary call Wednesday. The police dog got distracted and bit a cow that belongs to the property owners. The officer had to stun the dog to keep the cow from being seriously injured. But then, the cow lashed out; it charged at and struck both the deputy and the property owner. None of the humans or animals suffered serious injuries.
