SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) — It’s dangerous — but there are still people who insist on doing it. A Florida man has been arrested for pointing lasers at airplanes approaching Sarasota Bradenton Airport. Authorities say Charlie Chapman Jr. aimed a laser toward four planes and a sheriff’s helicopter as they tried to land last week. One pilot says the laser hit him directly in the eyes, causing temporary blindness and lingering blurred vision. Chapman has been hit with a series of charges, including pointing a laser at a pilot resulting in injury.
