MENDOTA – A resolution is underway as negotiations between the Mendota’s Teachers Union and District 289 continued this morning at Mendota’s High School. On Friday, teachers agreed to meet again with district officials to settle labor disputes. Teachers walked off the job earlier this week at Blackstone, Lincoln and Northbrook Schools after hopes of an agreement towards a new 3 year contract fell through. The teachers announced they will host a community rally to be held at Strouss Park on Sunday at 12:15 p.m.
