MORRIS – A woman was stabbed in the abdomen by two assailants whom she got to flee by firing upon them with a gun. Morris Police say late Monday just before midnight they were called to the area of Island Drive for a woman who was stabbed. The 30-year-old victim said two unidentified black males jumped in front of her vehicle as she was leaving her driveway. After she was allegedly stabbed, she fired a weapon multiple times at the males who then reportedly fled. Area hospitals were advised to be on the lookout for anyone with injuries, however, no suspects were located. The Grundy County Sheriff’s Office asks if anyone has any information on this incident to contact them. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. Her condition is unknown.
