Two Firefighters; EMT Injured After Boat Explosion

OGLESBY- Two Oglesby Firefighters and an EMT were injured during a water rescue training exercise Wednesday night on the Vermillion River. Around 7 PM two ambulances were called to the Oglesby boat launch next to the Ed Hand Bridge for what was described as an explosion.  According to assistant Chief Steve Maltas all three were taken to IVCH with as yet unknown injuries.  The Oglesby Fire Department stated that the inflatable boat ruptured violently.
