OTTAWA – Many area highways are going to be seeing construction crews once again this summer, with large resurfacing work planned over the next few months. IDOT announced that Illinois Route 251 from Shooting Park Road to 7th Street in Peru will be undergoing repairs starting at the end of April going through late August. Illinois Route 23 in Ottawa will be getting resurfaced from Freemont Street through North 2650th road from Mid-May to July, and US Route 6 from Ottawa to Illinois 178 will see construction from May and last through late August. They say you should expect lane restrictions and delays.
