RANSOM – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced that IL Route-170 at the railroad tracks near Ransom will be closed beginning April 23rd. IDOT says the closures are due to the removal and replacement of a bridge over the BNSF Railroad. During the closure N 17th Road/Gardner Road, Johnny Run Road/N 200 E Rd. and IL Route 17 will be used for a detour. Signs will be utilized for direction. Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area.
