Streator PD hires 2 Community Service Officers

STREATOR –  The Streator Police Department hired on 2 Community Service Officers.
According to City Manager Scot Wrighton, one male and one female were hired on to work at the Streator Police Department, without changing the minimum manning requirement of sworn officers. The public service providers will be able to perform administrative tasks like parking violations that take time away from sworn police officers. Wrighton says by hiring CSOs, the city has more eyes on the street for less costs, as the city council is commited to managing costs to avoid raising property taxes.
