OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Veterans Tribute Group won the Governor’s Cup for their work in bringing the Vietnam Moving Wall to Ottawa. Steven Kreitzer, superintendent of the La Salle County Veterans Assistance Commission, presented the cup to LaSalle County Board members at their Thursday meeting, and applauded the Tribute Group for their work honoring veterans in the past year. He explained that the Governor’s Cup, awarded to the group in late November, would travel to different VFWs throughout the year to show the hard work of the county.
