OGLESBY – Illinois Valley Community College is planning for an increase in their budget for 2019. Following a Thursday meeting, the IVCC Board announced that they had approved a $34.4 million budget for 2019, which will be an 8 percent increase over the previous year’s budget. Projected revenue, however, will be just $31.6 million. A date was also set in October to honor Walter Durley and Hazel Marie Boyle posthumously for the bequest that helped finance the Cultural Centre improvements, which included new lighting, seating, wall coverings, and ADA-accessibility upgrades.
