DEKALB – Two people are in custody after a shootout in the city of DeKalb on Sunday. According to the DeKalb Police Department, they received a call about a drive by shooting that involved a male standing out of a sunroof of an SUV. Witnesses state that the person was shooting at a crowd in the 900 block of Greenbrier road, where one of the persons reportedly returned fire with a weapon of their own. No injuries were reported but multiple vehicles were struck by gunfire. After an investigation, on Tuesday DeKalb Police with the help of the Aurora Police Department arrested 18-year-old James C. Lewis and 21-year-old Leilani M. Hollingsworth, both of Aurora, on the charge of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. They are currently in the DeKalb County Jail.
