SPRING VALLEY – A three vehicle accident on the new Spring Valley Bridge has injured six people Tuesday afternoon. Spring Valley fire department and EMS were dispatched to the Route 89 Bridge to find 2 buses and a passenger truck involved in a collision. According to the fire department, the bridge was initially down to one lane, then soon after the entire bridge was shut down. Six patients were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries. Crews were reported to be on scene for over an hour.
The Spring Valley Fire Department was assisted by the Spring Valley Police Department and Putnam County Sheriff’s Office for traffic control and accident investigation.
