Man Arrested in Mokena Woman’s Murder Investigation

JOLIET – A Coal City man has been arrested and charged with concealing a homicidal death in the investigation into the murder of Kaityln Kearns.

Kearns was reported missing Tuesday after being last seen early Monday at a bar in Joliet where she was a bartender.  Detectives located her body in her SUV in a rural area of Kankakee County.
According to the Will County Sheriff’s office, 32 year-old Jeremy Boshears had allegedly been in a relation ship with Kearns over the previous weeks.   He was taken into custody Friday and is being held on $250,000 bond at the detention center in Kankakee.   The case remains under investigation by the Kankakee County Sheriff’s office and the Will County Sheriff’s Office.
