Boys – Friday

Streator 42, Coal City 35. The Streator Bulldogs finished out the regular season with a win over the Coalers at Pops Dale Gymnasium. Mitch Vickers led the Bulldogs with nine points, Adam Brown added in eight points, and Wes Jolly and Blake Kelly scored six points each. Streator grabbed 41 rebounds in the game, the second most in a game this season (50 vs. Reed-Custer). Streator finished 16-11 overall, 9-2 in the Interstate Eight conference, for an overall second-place finish. The Bulldogs will take on the Morris Redskins on Wednesday evening in Coal City in semi-final action of the IHSA Regionals, tip-off at 7:30 PM.

Plano 49, Sandwich 45. With the Reapers win, they were able to claim the Interstate Eight conference title outright with a 10-1 conference record.

Blackhawks 4, St. Louis 2. CHICAGO (AP) — Artem Anisimov scored the go-ahead goal late in the third period to help the Chicago Blackhawks beat the St. Louis Blues 4-2 on Sunday night. Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews and Tanner Kero also netted goals for the Blackhawks, who won their fourth straight. Magnus Paajarvi and Alex Pietrangelo lit the lamp for the Blues.
